RESOLUTION ON THE TWELFTH ORDINARY SESSION OF THE OAU LABOUR COMMISSION


The Council of Ministers of the Organization of African Unity, meeting in its Fiftieth Ordinary Session in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from 17 to 22 July, 1989,


Having considered the report of the OAU Secretary- General on the Twelfth Ordinary Session of the OAU Labour Commission, Doc. CM/1159 (L),


Noting with satisfaction the positive results of the Twelfth Ordinary Session of the OAU Commission:


  1. TAKES NOTE of the report and resolutions of the Twelfth Ordinary Session of the OAU Labour Commission;


  1. INVITES all OAU Member States to implement in their respective areas the decisions and recommendations contained in the report and resolutions;


  1. CALLS UPON the Secretary-General to provide in co-operation with the Advisory Committee the necessary technical and financial resources for the effective implementation of the resolutions of the OAU Labour Commission;


  1. URGES Member States to keep the OAU Secretary-General informed of all activities undertaken as part of the implementation of the decisions, recommendations and resolutions contained in the report.
