DECISION ON THE DEFINITION OF THE AFRICAN DIASPORA

The Executive Council:

  1. TAKES NOTE of the Definition of the African Diaspora as proposed by the Commission;

  2. REQUESTS the Commission to refer the issue to a meeting of Experts from Member States for a more suitable definition;

  3. FURTHER REQUESTS the Chairperson of the Commission, in consultation with the Chairperson of the Union, to determine the appropriate date for launching ECOSOCC taking into account the request in paragraph 2 above.
