DECISION ON THE REPORT OF THE CHAIRPERSON OF THE AFRICAN
RISK CAPACITY (ARC) GOVERNING BOARD ON THE THIRD
ARC CONFERENCE ON THE PARTIES

The Executive Council,

1. TAKES NOTE of the report and the recommendations contained therein;

2. COMMENDS the ARC for the activities already undertaken in favour of African States since its recognition as a Specialised Agency by the AU, and ENCOURAGES it to intensify its activities in favour of the States Parties that have signed the ARC Treaty;

3. ALSO ENCOURAGES Member States to sign and ratify this Treaty thereby facilitating its operationalisation and to benefit from its activities in the domain of risk management capacity building and insurance against such risks.
