Regulation C/REG.14/12/00 Approving the Budget of the Executive Secretariat for the 2001 Financial Year

The Council of Ministers,MINDFUL of Articles 10, 11 and 12 of the Revised Treaty establishing the Council of Ministers and defining its composition and functions;MINDFUL of the provisions of Article 69 of the Revised Treaty which relates to the budgets of the Community;MINDFUL of the Financial Regulations and Manual of Accounting Procedures of the Institutions of ECOWAS amended by Regulation C/REG 2/12/95;HAVING CONSIDERED the budget proposed by the Twenty-fifth meeting of the Administration and finance Commission held in Bamako, from 2nd to 8th December, 2000;ENACTS

Article 1

The budget of the Executive Secretariat for the 2001 financial year, balanced in income and expenditure at the sum of Fourteen million, nine hundred and eleven thousand, five hundred (14, 911,500) Units of Accounts is hereby approved.

Article 2

An amount of Twelve million, seven hundred and one thousand, five hundred (12,701,500) Units of Accounts shall be derived from the annual contributions of Member States. A sum of Two million (2,000,000) shall be obtained from arrears paid in respect of past budgets, and another sum of Two hundred and ten thousand (210,000) Units of Accounts shall be derived from other sources.

Article 3

This Regulations shall be published by the Executive Secretariat in the Official Journal of the Community within thirty (30) days of its signature by the Chairman of the Council of Ministers, it shall also be published by each Member State in its National Gazette within the same time-frame.
