Lockdown of Gaborone
Government Notice 186 of 2020
NOTICE IS HEREBY given that His Excellency the President has in accordance with regulation 5 (1) and (4) of the Emergency Powers (COVID-19) Regulations, 2020, and on evidence submitted to him by the Director of Health Services, that the risks posed by COVID-19 have increased in Gaborone and has declared a lockdown for Gaborone from the 11th May, 2020 to 12th May, 2020 at midnight. Gaborone means the area defined in the Schedule.During this period of the lockdown, the provisions of regulation 6 (work remotely from home), regulation 7 (movement of persons during lockdown) and regulation 8 (non-essential travel) of the Emergency Powers (COVID-19) Regulations, 2020 shall apply.
