NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that His Excellency the President acting in accordance with regulation 30G of the Emergency Powers (COVID-19) Regulations, 2020, has authorised the lifting of liquor restrictions.
A restaurant licensed in terms of the Trade Act shall sell intoxicating liquor for on-site consumption from Wednesday to Friday between 1000 hours to 1800 hours and on Saturday between 1000 hours to 1600 hours.A liquor licence issued in terms of the Liquor Act shall sell intoxicating liquor for takeaway from Wednesday to Friday between 1000 hours to 1800 hours and on Saturday between 1000 hours to 1600 hours —(a)bar liquor;(b)bottle store liquor;(c)liquor depot;(d)discotheque/nightclub;(e)distributor liquor;(f)wholesale liquor;(g)club liquor; and(h)temporary liquor:Provided that all intoxicating liquor shall be consumed at home.Traditional beer listed in Schedule 3 of the Traditional Beer Regulations shall not be sold.Dr. Malaki Tshipayagae,Director of Health Services.
