NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that His Excellency the President in accordance with regulation 30G of the Emergency Powers (COVID-19) Regulations, 2020, has authorised that meetings, workshops and conferences may be convened.
Every meeting, workshop or conference shall have a host or convener. The host or convener of a meeting, workshop or conference shall be responsible for the adherence to COVID-19 protocols for persons attending the meeting, workshop or conference.For the avoidance of doubt —(a)a meeting, workshop or conference shall not have more than 50 persons in attendance at any time;(b)a person shall not travel across COVID zones for purposes of a meeting, workshop or conference;(c)notwithstanding paragraph (b), a convener or facilitator may apply for a permit to cross COVID zones for purposes of a meeting, workshop or conference; and(d)a meeting, workshop or conference host or convener may operate where he or she has satisfied the Director of Health Services, or any person authorised by the Director for that purpose, of he or she has the ability to comply with directions for the prevention of spread of COVID-19 issued by the Director of Health Services as published in the Gazette.Government Notice No. 303 of 2020 is hereby revoked.Dr. Malaki Tshipayagae,Director of Health Services.
