Ministerial Order: Air Traffic and Navigation Services

I, Mr Fikile Mbalula the Minister of Transport under section 10(1)(a) of the Air Traffic and Navigation Services Company, 1993 (Act No. 45 of 1993) make the Ministerial Order as set out in the Schedule.

Schedule

(1)The Minister of Transport under section 10(1)(a) of the Air Traffic and Navigation services Company Act, 1993 (Act No. 45 of 1993) make the following Ministerial Orders that:
(a)The Air Traffic and Navigation Services must comply and implement the International Air Services (COVID-19 restrictions on the movement of Air Travel) Regulations, 2020;
(b)The Air Traffic and Navigation Services must ensure that aircraft landing in South Africa, for technical stop or refuelling is permissible.
(c)Air Traffic and Navigation Services shall, if necessary, redirect or reroute any aircraft from a medium or high risk countries entering the South African airspace to another airport other than its primary destination, provided that airport is an international airport designated as one of the ports of entry to accommodate such aircraft.
(d)The Air Traffic and Navigation Services must ensure that aircraft are allocated parking in the designated area.
(2)This order shall remain in force until further notice.
