South Africa:  Draft Language Policy of the Department of Basic Education (for comments)

The Department of Basic Education, acting under section 4(1) of the Use of Official Languages Act, No 12 of 2012, has published its Draft Language Policy, and is asking you to comment.

Film and Publications Board Draft Online Regulation Policy (South Africa

This Policy is draconian and has serious implications for access to information and freedom of expression.

It clamps down on online games, films and some publications through a prior classification and approval process by the F & P Board.
