This publication is the fifth edition of the Annual Compendium of International Criminal Justice on the African Continent produced by the ‘African Group of Experts on International Criminal Justice’. The group comprises of academics, researchers and legal practitioners drawn from various parts of the Sub Saharan Africa with keen interest and expertise in the field of International Criminal Law. This edition of the compendium follows the meeting of the group that was held in August 2017 in Lilongwe, Malawi. In the words of the editors, this compendium addresses diverse issues of International Criminal Law as perceived and narrated by Africans as their modest contribution to the understanding and embracing of international criminal law norms and standards on the continent.
