DECISION ON MIDDLE EAST AND PALESTINE

The Executive Council,
1. TAKES NOTE of the Report on Middle East and Palestine;
2. EXPRESSES deep concern on the continued occupation of Palestinian and other Arab territories by Israel in violation of international law;
3. ENDORSES the recommendations contained in the Report;
4. REITERATES its previous decisions on Palestine and REAFFIRMS its unflinching support to the Palestinian People in their struggle for the establishment of an independent, sovereign and viable State in Palestine with East Jerusalem as its capital;
5. WELCOMES once again the granting of “Non-Member Observer State” status to Palestine by the General Assembly;
6. CALLS ON all Palestinian parties to close ranks in the conduct of their legitimate struggle.
