DECISION ON THE REPORT OF THE FACT-FINDING MISSION
TO THE REPUBLIC OF MALI BY THE ACHPR

The Executive Council,
1. TAKES NOTE of the Report of the Fact-Finding Mission to the Republic of Mali and the recommendations contained therein;
2. EXPRESSES its appreciation to the ACHPR for undertaking the fact-finding mission to Mali as mandated by the Solemn Declaration on the Situation in Mali adopted by the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the AU during its 19th Ordinary Session;
3. REAFFIRMS the commitment of the Union to remain engaged with its efforts towards finding a lasting solution to the situation in Mali, and CALLS UPON the international community to provide it with the necessary support;
4. UNDERSCORES that the protection of human rights is the collective responsibility of all, and EXHORTS the Malian authorities, the international community and all other stakeholders to continue to work together to ensure respect for the human rights of all those within the country.
