Article 1
The following implementation organs of WAPP are hereby established:Steering CommitteeImplementation CommitteeWorking GroupsThe permanent SecretariatArticle 2
The organs set out in Article 1 of this Regulation shall operate according to the following zones into which Member States are divided;Zone A: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Niger, Nigeria and Togo.Zone B: Guinea Bissau, Mali, Mauritania, Senegal, The Gambia, Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.Article 3
Each zone shall be managed by an implementation sub-committee and two working groups.Article 4
Nigeria and Cote d’lovire shall be respectively responsible for coordinating the institutional and technical aspects of Zone A's activities.Article 5
Guinea and Senegal shall be respectively responsible for coordinating the institutional and technical aspects of Zone B’s activities.Article 6
Each meeting of the Steering Committee and Implementation Committee shall be chaired by the host country.Article 7
ECOWAS Executive Secretarial shall act as the Permanent Secretariat of the implementation organs.Article 9
This regulation shall be published by the Executive Secretariat in the Official Journal of the Community within thirty (30) days of its signature by the Chairman of the Council of Ministers. It shall also be published within the same time-frame by each Member State in its National Gazette.[Please note: numbering as in original.]History of this document
