Regulation C/REG.21/12/07 Adopting the 2005 Audited Financial Statements of the ECOWAS Parliament

The Council of Ministers,MINDFUL of Articles 10, 11 and 12 of the ECOWAS Treaty as amended in June 2006, establishing the Council of Ministers and defining its composition and functions;MINDFUL of Article 75 of the Treaty appointing the External Auditors of ECOWAS Institutions;MINDFUL of the Financial Regulations and Manual of Accounting Procedures of the Institutions of ECOWAS, as amended by Regulation C/REG.2/12/95;MINDFUL of Decision A/DEC.19/01/06 appointing the firm « Deloitte and Touche, Côte d’lvoire » as the External Auditors of the Community Institutions;MINDFUL of the contract between ECOWAS and the firm, « Deloitte and Touche, Côte d'Ivoire », signed on 1 April 2006 relating to the conditions under which the services of the External Auditors of the Community Institutions shall be provided;AFTER CONSIDERING the report of the firm, « Deloitte and Touche, Côte d'Ivoire », on the 2005 and 2006 financial statements of the ECOWAS Parliament;ON THE RECOMMENDATION of the seventh meeting of the Audit Committee, held in Abuja from 26 to 27 July 2007;ENACTS

Article 1

The audited financial statements of the ECOWAS Parliament for 2005 is hereby adopted.

Article 2

This Regulation shall be published in the Official Journal of the Community by the ECOWAS Commission within thirty (30) days of its signature by the Chairperson of the Council of Ministers. It shall also be published within the same time frame by each Member State in its Official Gazette.
