RESOLUTION ON THE EGPYTIAN CANDIDATURE OF DR. M.F. TAHA TO THE PRESIDENCY OF THE WORLD METEOLOLIGICAL ORGANIZATION (WMO)

The Council of Ministers of the Organization of African Unity meeting in its Twenty- Fourth Ordinary Session in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from 13^th to 21^st February, 1975,

Having heard the statement made by the representative of the Arab Republic of Egypt on the Egyptian candidature of Mr. M.T. TAHA to the Presidency of the WMO during its 7^th Congress (April – May 1975);

DECIDES to support the candidature of Dr. TAHA to the Presidency of the WMO.

REQUESTS the African Group in the WMO to ensure the successful implementation of this decision.
