CM/Res. 189 (XIII) RESOLUTION ON THE FIRST ALL-AFRICAN HIGHWAY CONFERENCE
The Council of Ministers of the Organization of African Unity, meeting in its Thirteenth Ordinary Session in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from 27 August to 6 September 1969,
Noting the report of the Administrative Secretary General on the first All -African Highway conference expected to take place in Addis Ababa, from 20 – 25 October 1969,
Fully appreciative of the initiative of the Imperial Ethiopian Government and the International Road Federation in convening the Conference,
Being aware that the construction, improvement and linking of Highways are of paramount importance for the economic integration of Africa,
URGES all Member States of the OAU to do all they can to attend the First All - African Highway Conference;
REQUESTS the Administrative Secretary to render any possible assistance to ensure the success of the Conference and report the proceedings to the Fourteenth Ordinary Session of the Council of Ministers.
