Resolution on African Cambers of Commerce


CM/Res. 192 (XIII) RESOLUTION ON AFRICAN CAMBERS OF COMMERCE

The Council of Ministers of the Organization of African Unity, meeting in its Thirteenth Ordinary Session in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from 27 August to 6 September 1969,


Having studied the report of the Administrative Secretary General of “African Chambers of Commerce”,


Recognizing the need for sufficient information on the different African markets with a view to achieving their integration,


Convinced that Chambers of Commerce and/or Organizations of similar competence can play a prominent role in intra-African trade,


CALLS on Member States:



  1. to assist the Secretariat in the compilation of facts,



  1. to respond to inquiries with a view to embark on the second phase envisaged in document CM/286 (Part 2).
