CM/Res.318 (XXII) RESOLUTION ON THE PAYMENT OF OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTIONS

The Council of Ministers of the Organization of African Unity meeting in its Twenty Second Ordinary Session in Kampala, Uganda, from 1 to 4 April 1974,


Having considered Report CM/541 (XXII) on the outstanding contributions of Member States,


Aware of the financial difficulties of the drought stricken Member States, particularly those in the Sahelian zone,


Referring to Resolution CM/Res.316 of the Twenty First Ordinary Session of the Council of Ministers approved by the 10th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government,


Desirous of expressing its active solidarity with all Member States affected by the drought,


  1. RECOMMENDS that the 11th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government should consider the need to exempt from payment of their outstanding contributions to the Budget of the Financial Year 1972/73, those countries of the Sahelian zone which have not yet honoured their obligations,


  1. CALLS UPON Member States which have not yet paid up their outstanding contributions to do so as soon as possible.
