DECISION ON THE STATUS OF SIGNATURE
AND RATIFICATION OF AU TREATIES
DOC. EX/CL/36 (III)

The Executive Council:

  1. TAKES NOTE of the Report;

  2. APPEALS to all Member States to sign and ratify the Treaties/Conventions adopted under the aegis of the AU, or accede to them;

  3. REQUESTS the Commission to finalize the review of all OAU Treaties and Conventions, to determine their relevance to the African Union, and to convene a Meeting of Experts, (in the latter part of the year), to consider the review.
