The Executive Council:
TAKES NOTE of the Report
In accordance with UN Resolution 39/248 on Consumer Protection, CALLS ON Member States to protect the welfare of consumers against, inter-alia, dangerous products, unfair business practices, as well as sub-standard goods;
FURTHER CALLS UPON Member States to enter into policy dialogue with their consumers on the issue of all forms of exploitation and all forms of unfair business practices;
URGES Member States to promote consumer protection and consumer education in their respective countries.
