DECISION ON THE ECONOMIC, SOCIAL AND CULTURAL
COUNCIL (ECOSOCC) - DOC.EX.CL/131(V)

The Executive Council:

  1. TAKES NOTE of the Report;

  2. ADOPTS the Draft Statutes of ECOSOCC and RECOMMENDS it to the Assembly for approval;

  3. REQUESTS the Chairperson of the Commission to take urgent steps to ensure the launching and operationalization of ECOSOCC;

  4. FURTHER REQUESTS the Chairperson of the Commission to take appropriate measures to define, at the earliest opportunity, the meaning of the “African Diaspora”.
