DECISION ON THE ELECTION OF THE COMMISSIONER FOR HUMAN
RESOURCES, SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY AND THE COMMISSIONER
FOR ECONOMIC AFFAIRS OF THE AFRICAN UNION

The Assembly,

  1. TAKES NOTE of the election by the Executive Council of the Commissioner for Human Resources, Science and Technology and the Commissioner for Economic Affairs of the African Union (AU);

  2. APPOINTS the following persons as Commissioners of the AU Commission:

  1. Dr. Martial De-Paul Ikounga (Congo) - Human Resources, Science and Technology

  2. Dr. Anthony Mothae Maruping (Lesotho) - Economic Affairs

  1. CONGRATULATES the newly elected AU Commissioners;

  2. DECIDES that the elected AU Commissioners who did not take the Oath of Office during the current session of the Assembly should do so before the Chairperson of the Commission.
