DECISION ON THE ACTIVITY REPORT OF THE SUB-COMMITTEE
ON MULTILATERAL COOPERATION

The Executive Council,
1. TAKES NOTE of the Report of the Sub-Committee of the Permanent Representatives’ Committee (PRC) on its activities relating to Multilateral Cooperation and on Africa’s strategic partnerships;
2. ENDORSES the recommendations contained in the Report;
3. STRESSES the coordinating role of the Commission in the management of partnerships in collaboration with the PRC and Africa’s diplomatic representations in the capitals of countries/regions that have cooperation arrangements with Africa;
4. REQUESTS Member States and the Commission to ensure that partners respect the Banjul format on Africa’s participation in meetings with them, and Africa’s representatives outside the Continent to respect the Decisions of the Assembly and the Executive Council on partnerships;
5. REQUESTS the Sub-Committee and the Commission to continue to work in tandem towards the successful implementation of the outcomes of the various Summit/Fora and the attainment of the objectives of Africa’s strategic partnerships.
