DECISION ON THE AFRICA INSTITUTIONAL ARCHITECTURE
FOR INFRASTRUCTURE

The Executive Council,
1. TAKES NOTE of the Report of the Commission on the proposal to establish an Africa Institutional Architecture for Infrastructure (AlAl) as an essential element for efficient and timely implementation of the Programme for Infrastructure Development in Africa;
2. REQUESTS the Commission, the New Partnership for Africa’s Development NEPAD Planning and Coordination Agency (NPCA), all relevant African Union organs and institutions in collaboration with the African Development Bank to conduct the study on the Al Al;
3. ALSO REQUESTS the Commission to submit the Study and appropriate recommendations to the Executive Council through the Permanent Representatives Committee for consideration in June/July 2011.
