DECISION ON THE 2012 ACTIVITY REPORT OF THE
ECONOMIC, SOCIAL AND CULTURAL COUNCIL OF THE UNION

The Executive Council,
1. TAKES NOTE of the Report of the Presiding Officer of ECOSOCC Permanent General Assembly , as well as the communication made by the Director of CIDO, in its capacity as the representative of the Secretariat of ECOSOCC, as requested by the PRC;
2. ALSO TAKES NOTE of the various important issues raised in the report, in particular the general functioning of ECOSOCC as well as its working relations with the Commission;
3. REQUESTS the PRC and the Commission to conduct an institutional, administrative and financial audit to establish the facts concerning all the issues raised in the Report for consideration by the policy organs of the Union;
4. DECIDES that the Audit should submit the outcomes of its investigation before the elections, but not later than 7 September 2012;
5. DECIDES that the Commission should make the necessary arrangements to conduct the elections for the ECOSOCC Second Permanent General Assembly on the due date in accordance with EX.CL/Dec.656(XIX) and the ECOSOCC Statutes.
