DECISION ON REPORT OF THE SUB-COMMITTEE ON CONTRIBUTIONS,
INCLUDING THE REVIEW OF THE STATUTORY CONTRIBUTIONS
OF SOME ISLAND STATES (EX.CL/DEC.756(XXII))

The Executive Council,
1. CONGRATULATES the countries which are up to date in their contributions;
2. URGES Member States to pay their contributions in time and encourage Member States which owe arrears of contributions to fully pay the amounts due;
3. CONGRATULATES the Democratic Republic of Congo for having honoured its commitments and Recommend the lifting of the temporary exemption granted to the DRC;
4. RECOMMENDS that sanctions imposed on the following Member States be maintained;
• Republic of Guinea Bissau; and
• Madagascar.
5. ALSO RECOMMENDS that sanctions be imposed on Sao Tome and Principe;
6. REQUESTS the Commission to liaise with the Republic of Somalia in order to come up with an agreement on the payment of its arrears and Request that an interim report on the issue be presented at the next session of the Executive Council;
7. EXPRESSES the concern of Member States on the delays by the Commission in the production of reports to the Partners and Request the Commission to impose sanction on Departments which delay in presenting their reports to the Partners.
