The Executive Council,
1. TAKES NOTE of the Report of the Commission on the Election of Members of the Commission: the Commissioner for Human Resources, Science and Technology and the Commissioner for Economic Affairs of the African Union (AU);
2. ELECTS the following persons as Commissioners of the African Union :

a) Dr. Martial De-Paul Ikounga (Congo) - Human Resources,
Science and Technology
b) Dr. Anthony Mothae Maruping (Lesotho) - Economic Affairs
3. RECOMMENDS the elected AU Commissioners for appointment by the Twentieth Ordinary Session of the Assembly.
